About Us
Our office was founded in 1969 and we have successfully represented hundreds of
small and medium sized businesses and helped them grow and prosper. Many of our
clients are family-owned companies with headquarters in Western Europe. Our
clientele comes from a diverse background including the alternative energy
sector, light and heavy manufacturing, automotive suppliers, medical practice
groups, health care companies, window manufacturers, and electronics and
software companies.
The attorneys in our firm are skilled in corporate, environmental,
international, business acquisitions, joint-ventures, intellectual property
licensing agreements, employment contracts, real estate transactions, and
employment law matters. We enjoy being able to leverage over forty years of
experience and considerable business acumen, to offer our clients the
opportunity for creating a turnkey project throughout the United States, Canada,
and Mexico.
Areas of Practice
Our firm is heavily involved in the alternative energy field. We represent
clients in the alternative energy field and resolve issues such as site
acquisition, wind leases, negotiations with public and private agencies,
landowner negotiations, licensing and development of electronic products used in
the alternative energy field, and solving any problems that arise out of these
often changing relationships.
International
Expertise
Wolfgang Drescher, Esq. is primarily responsible for the international
transactions. He is fluent in German and spends considerable time each year in
Germany serving our clients’ needs in Western Europe. He has met
Martindale-Hubble’s standards and requirements for an “A-V” rating, which is the
highest rating awarded in the United States.
Our attorneys attend trade fairs each year such as the Hannover Messe, the
International Auto Show, Euromold Messe, the AWEA Windpower Conference and
Exhibition, and numerous fairs and trade shows in the Midwest. If you or your
company are attending any of these fairs, and have the need for our advice and
legal counsel, we would be pleased to meet with you.
Additional Services & Commitments
As an outgrowth of our business and corporate experience, we have become quite
skilled at multigenerational estate and business transition planning, which can
allow the owner of a business to efficiently transition the family business to
the second or third generation. Our estate planning skills are not limited only
to our corporate clients; our office is constantly involved in trust and estate
work and the administration of estates for our individual clients.
In addition to our corporate law and our estate planning practices, our firm
represents several not-for-profit organizations. Our staff also spends time
working and volunteering in the community with organizations such as Habitat for
Humanity, Heisey Glass Museum, Buckeye Trail Associations, North Country Trail
Association, The American Legion, and local food pantries. Wolfgang Drescher is
a Veteran (U.S. Army) and spends considerable time working with Veteran groups
and assisting Veterans in our local community. Our commitment to the community
also extends to each of our respective churches and faith communities.
